Cindy Binnicker (Stage Manager) is thrilled to be stage managing The 39 Steps. She took some rest after working the summer show and during that time, aligned her black shirts in preparation for this show. In her down time, she gives cat massages and organizes Frank’s socks.

George Dinsmore (Richard Hannay) first appeared on the CTC stage in 2007’s A Murder is Announced (Patrick Simmons) and most recently in 2023’s It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play (Jake Laurents/George Bailey), which will be revived for a short tour this December. He returns to the stage fresh from his 7th season as Emcee of Lexington County Blowfish Baseball, and has been a SC Shakespeare Company member since 2012. Keep an eye out for George on your television as the second season of Secrets in Plain Sight (Phil Daniels) was recently released, and he currently has several commercials running. November 1-3, he will emcee the 10 Minute-ish Play Festival, directing one entry, and in 2025 he will direct the October show right here at CTC. Learn more about his stage and screen credits, and watch some exclusive content at GeorgeDinsmore.com.

April Garrett (Lights) is excited to work the lights for another CTC production! She was previously seen on stage in CTC’s musical productions of Shrek and Beauty and the Beast, but her love of pushing buttons took her into the tech and lights booth. In her down time, she enjoys needlepoint to keep up her finger dexterity. April also takes part in a hula hoop club and aspires to be an Olympic curler one day. She gives a big shout out to her sister and family for their continued support!

Julia Hudson (Clown 1) is excited to be in her first show at CTC! The last time she was on stage was in 2019 in Village Square Theatre’s fringe production of Avenue Q as Kate Monster. You may have also seen her in Town Theatre’s Buddy (Maria Elena) in 2018 and VST’s Sister Act (Sister Mary Theresa) in 2017, also directed by Frank Thompson. She lives in Cayce with her husband of 9 years, Joe, and their 4-year-old son, Thomas. When she’s not on stage, she loves tie-dyeing shirts for her side-line business, Jivin' Julia's Tie-Dye. The whole family enjoys going to various trivia games around town and singing some karaoke when they can, usually wearing shirts that she’s made. Julia loves her family with all her heart, and she is so blessed to have their love and support, especially recently with incorporating The 39 Steps into their schedules. She's had a blast being in this show, working with such a talented cast and crew, and she hopes that everyone that gets to see it loves it as much as she loves being in it.

Jennifer Kraus (Annabella / Margaret / Pamela) is so thrilled and feeling very fortunate to be working with this talented group on the Chapin Theatre stage! Jennifer has recently been in Cinderella, It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play, and Farce of Nature with the Chapin Theatre Company, and in Beautiful at Town Theatre. Her previous theatre experience in Seattle included playing roles such as Susan in Company! and Phoebe in Yeoman of the Guard. Jennifer also enjoys singing with the Dutch Fork Choral Society in Chapin. She would love to thank her husband, Ben, for all his love and support.

Simon Marchant (Tech) has worked on and off in the theatre behind the scenes since the 1980s when his sister performed. He supported his son Gabriel in this same role throughout his middle and high school years until he went away to college and inherited the role at that point. He loves to be part of this group and looks forward to helping the next show come to life.

Gina Nelson (Assistant Stage Manager / Properties) is relatively new to the Columbia theatre scene, but has spent her life working in the theatre. Most recently, she was Prop Master for Cinderella, with Chapin Theatre Company. She is thrilled to be reprising that role with 39 Steps. She will be returning to the stage soon, again with Chapin Theatre Company, in A Nice Family Christmas. Don’t miss it!

Ripley Thames (Clown 2) is thrilled to return to Chapin to play with such a dedicated quartet. This is his first opportunity to contribute to Chapin Theatre since directing The Dixie Swim Club five years ago. He is grateful to the cast and director for their dedication to the story and their courage to not take themselves too seriously. He is also grateful that you decided to join us, and hopes you have as much fun as the cast.

Frank Thompson (Director) as you may have guessed is the mastermind behind the production before you. In addition to "directing things," Frank is an anglophile. Outside of directing and loving England, he enjoys bringing to life show after show, as he graces the stage of theatres across the midlands. Thank you to the cast, crew and production team for bringing to life such a fun show. Also, has anyone seen where Scenes 31 and 32 disappeared to?
