Musical / Heartwarming

Annie

Leapin' Lizards! The irrepressible comic strip heroine takes center stage in one of the world's best-loved musicals.

Roles Available:

  • Annie – (10 - 12) A street-wise orphan; she is eventually taken in by Oliver Warbucks. Spunky, friendly, big-voiced. Vocal range: G5 to A3
  • Warbucks – (40 to 55) A successful businessman with a warm heart. Rich, stiff-collared, bullish. Vocal range: Gb5 to B3
  • Grace Farrell – (20 to 35) Faithful secretary to Mr. Oliver Warbucks. Poised, sweet, gentle.. Vocal range: G5 to Bb3
  • Orphans – (6 - 13) The other girls in the orphanage with Annie. These girls are gritty, neglected and vulnerable, yet basically honest and potentially loveable. Includes Molly, Kate, Tessie, Pepper, July, and Duffy.
  • Servants – (20 to 50) The servants at the Warbucks mansion. Includes Drake, Mrs. Pugh, Mrs. Greer, Cecille, and Annette.
  • Miss Hannigan – (30 to 45) The orphanage matron who hates children but is fond of liquor. Very disillusioned, bitter, and cold. Vocal range: F5 to A3
  • Rooster – (25 to 35) Miss Hannigan's no-good brother looking for a quick buck. A sleazy, slick con man.. Vocal range: G5 to B3
  • Lily – (20 to 30) Rooster's girlfriend, who is also out for a quick buck. She is considered to be a floozy and bimbo. Vocal range: G5 to B3
  • Bert Healy – (30 to 45) The ultimate radio personality. He helps Annie by broadcasting about the search for her birth parents. Vocal range: G5 to E4
  • Roosevelt – (40 to 60) The 32nd President of the United States. A Democrat and friend of Warbucks. Vocal range: F4 to eB3
  • Ensemble – Drake, Mrs. Greer, Mrs. Pugh, Boylan Sisters, Cabinet Mambers, Hooverville Citizens

When & Where

Dates for Kids ages 6 - 14: Saturday, August 22 at 10 AM
Dates for ages 15+: Sunday, August 23 or Monday, August 24 at 7 PM
location: CTC Main Stage, 830 Columbia Ave, Chapin, SC
Callbacks: Saturday, August 29, if necessary
Rehearsals: Begin in September and will regularly be Mondays - Thursdays at 6:30. After casting, a schedule will be finalized based on availability. Not all cast will be called for each rehearsal until we get closer to the show. Tech week is mandatory and will be November 15 - 18, 6:30 - 9:30 PM.
Performances: November 19 - 22, December 3 - 6 & 10 - 13
Brush Up: December 2

What to Prepare

Prepare 16-20 measures of song of your choice. Be prepared to send us the link of your accompaniment, or Bluetooth to our system. Dress comfortably - you will be taught a short dance routine.

Submit an audition form using the links above. Walk-ins are welcome, but registered auditioners help us prepare.

Arrive & Relax

Show up 15 minutes early to fill out an audition form. Our team will be there to greet you, answer questions, and cheer you on.

Take The Stage

Step into the room, introduce yourself, and do your thing! The director wants you to succeed just as much as you do.

More of a Backstage Person?

It takes an army to put on a show. If you love the theatre but prefer wearing black and wearing a headset, we need your talents in lighting, sound, costuming, set construction, and stage management.
