Paul and Corie Bratter are newlyweds in every sense of the word. After a six day honeymoon, they get a surprise visit from Corie's loopy mother and decide to play matchmaker during a dinner with their neighbor-in-the-attic Velasco, where everything that can go wrong does.
Many moons ago in a far-off place (6th-14th Century)
Cindy Binnicker (Delivery Man/Stage
Manager) is delighted to be a part of this
show and cast. As a member of the Board
of Chapin Theatre Company, Cindy does
most of the stage managing. In her down
time...ha! There’s very little of that but she
enjoys being involved with an evolving
theater that thrives off entertaining audiences. She is
forever humbled to be a part of this amazing team and her
new “family.”
Brick Brickel (Mrs. Ethel Banks) having
moved from St.Petersburg, Florida in
January ‘24, is making her debut with
Chapin Theatre Company. She has
performed stand-up comedy and improv
in NYC & LA, had her one-woman-show,
“Brick...off the wall”; is a playwright and
director. Favorite roles include: Doris in The Owl and the
Pussycat, Sister Robert Anne in Nunsense, Vernadette in
The Dixie Swim Club and Rose in Gypsy. Thank you to
Frank for casting me in such a great part! And, of course.
‘Lil Loook.
Jim DeFelice (Victor Velasco) is the
Executive Director of the Chapin Theatre
Company. His last role was Clarence the
Angel (and others) in the Radio Show
version of It’s a Wonderful Life performed
in Kershaw Arts Center, Workshop, and
Chapin Theatre. Previously he played
Harry Douglas in The Amorous Ambassador—a farce by
Michael Parker. Jim loves farce and had the time of his
life playing the butler Wadsworth in Clue. Jim spends
most of his day managing the Theatre and had a lot of fun
getting this new space ready. He’s so proud to be a part of
this theatre community with all the support and talent
that has become a part of the next chapter of the Chapin
Theatre Company. Jim is excited to be on stage with the
talented Zanna, Josh, Brick and Manny under the guidance
of Mr Theatre (with an “re”) Frank Thompson. He sends
his love to Tina, his kids and those “5 beautiful & spirited
granddaughters.” P.S. – “Do what Cindy says.”
Josh Kern (Paul Bratter) is grateful for the
opportunity to bring this character to life.
Josh has taken on such roles as Stephon in
Stilt Girl, Sammy in The Wedding Singer,
Audrey II in Little Shop of Horrors, and
ensemble of Beauty and the Beast. By day
Josh is a massage therapist at Just What
You Kneaded Mobile Massage Therapy and Lotus Day Spa.
Zanna Mills (Corie Bratter) is excited to
be on the Chapin stage again. You may
have seen her with CTC as June/Merry
Murderess (Chicago), Joy (Cinderella)
or Izzy (Stilt Girl). Other favorite roles
include Lucy (Bright Star), Annie (The Play
That Goes Wrong), Mary Ann (Gilligan’s
Island: The Musical), Amber Von Tussle (Hairspray),
Rumpleteazer (Cats) and Shelby (Steel Magnolias).

Manny Moitoso (Telephone Man)
would like to thank you, the audience, for
coming out to support our little theatre.
Because without you, there would be no
us. An eARTh without ART is just eh.
Frank Thompson (Director) is not
only a director, but a performer as well.
He was recently seen as Billy Flynn
in Chicago here at Chapin Theatre, as
Mortimer Brewster in Arsenic and Old
Lace at Workshop Theatre, and as Freddie
Fillmore in It’s a Wonderful Life on tour
and in-house at CTC. Frank is privileged to serve on CTC’s
Board of Directors, and looks forward to his next project.
His other credits include Freddie/Philip in Noises Off, Dr.
Watson in The Hound of the Baskervilles, and Lumiere in
Beauty and the Beast. Much love to this amazing cast and
production team. Thank you for making this show magical.
This project is sponsored in part by the South Carolina Arts Commission, the Central Carolina Community Foundation, the Greater Chapin Community Foundation, and Lexington County.
