CTC Building Fund/Donations

As many of you know, at the end of 2021 we had a capital campaign to raise the money for purchase of a new permanent home for the Chapin Theatre Company. We raised over $220,000 from donations from over 200 of our patrons – which is amazing. Those funds along with the sale of the property donated by Jondy and Ken Lovelace for $225,000 and a loan for $150,000, we were able to buy 6.21 acres with 3 existing buildings. One building (1000 sq ft) will be used for a shop, one building (2200 sq ft) will allow us to store props and costumes and the main building (3500 sq ft) will be renovated for our performances.

Campaign to raise $150,000 to transform the building into a workable performing space to include:

• Remove walls and construct the performance area
• Add three bathrooms and a new drain field
• Purchase seats and risers
• Create more parking
